In this new exhibition, “heaRing the skies” Fatric Bewong suggests that such abstract auditory entities as sounds and noises can be interpreted tangibly on canvas in nuanced flourishes, and chromatic silences. The work is located in a contemporary visual cultural space that has had several relations to music as a form. Fatric’s own delving into the work of Miles Davis is made evident in the paintings. As part of the exhibition opening Nii Noi Nortey and Fatric will be performing together. The exhibition will be officially opened by Dr. Esi Sutherland-Addy.
