The project is focused on immortalizing women’s response to the slave trade in two folds. Firstly, on women’s response to combat the slave trade and secondly, women’s response in protecting their husbands and children during the salve trade and their strategies for survival.
Project Objective
The project will erect a colossal statue in

Ø Validation meeting among key stakeholders
Ø Research and data collection
Ø Acquisition of the space/land
Ø Design of the project and justification of the design
Ø Erection of the statue
Project Specifications:
ü Erection of statue
ü Interlace with lighting and fountains; some of which should be red to signify the blood shed.
ü Engraving with paintings
ü Certain aspects must be reflective of the audience
ü Certain aspect must be rotational
ü Engravings with text and possible statements these women made.
